Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) provides utility assistance to individuals and households facing challenges with heating/cooling bills. The HEAT program is designed for low-income households, to provide a one time yearly benefit that can be applied to utility vendors to offset the rising costs of home energy costs.

Mail in applications are recommended for clients that do not live near a local HEAT office. All copies of verifications sent must be clear and legible.

What You Need To Apply
Social Security Cards for each person in the household.
Picture ID for each person 18 and older.
Proof of Birth date for one child age 5 or younger.
Most Recent Utility Bill for; natural gas, power, propane.
Proof of Income for all household members. (Month prior)
Proof of Medical Expenses. (Month prior)
Proof of Disability
Income deficit form for each household member over 18 yrs old not working.
